The premise
About Kanso Travel
Kanso Travel is a pre-launch brand making travel bags and everyday carry. One idea, four bags.
The idea
Most bag catalogues are organised around features: number of pockets, fabric denier, suspension systems, laptop compatibility charts. That's useful once you already know what size you need. It's useless when you don't — which is the situation nearly everyone is in.
Kanso starts one step earlier, with the question that actually determines bag size: how long are you leaving? Nights away predicts volume better than any other single input. So the line has four bags, one per band of trip length, and the naming says the capacity out loud.
Product philosophy
- One bag per job. If two bags in a line overlap heavily, one of them exists for the catalogue rather than the customer.
- State the limits. Every product page says what the bag is not for. A disqualifier is more useful than another feature bullet.
- Fewer, better-placed openings. Pockets should map to when you need something, not to how many pockets fit on a panel.
- No performance claims we haven't earned. We publish dimensions, weights, capacities and materials. We don't publish abrasion ratings, waterproof ratings or durability promises, because we haven't tested them.
- Plain language. No "engineered for the modern nomad". Just litres, inches, nights and pounds.
Who this is for
- Commuters who occasionally stay somewhere overnight
- Weekend travellers
- Frequent domestic travellers
- Carry-on-only travellers
- Anyone overwhelmed by feature-heavy catalogues
What Kanso is not for
We make four bags for one kind of travel. If your use case is on this list, another brand will serve you better and we'd rather say so now:
- Technical climbing and alpine loads
- Professional camera kits
- Luxury leather briefcases
- Checked rolling luggage
- Multi-day wilderness trekking
Where we actually are
Kanso Travel is a pre-launch concept brand. There is no production run, no warehouse, no order system and no shipping. The bags shown are original designs described honestly at concept stage: dimensions, weights, materials and prices are the intended specification, not measurements from a finished production sample.
We have no customers yet, so this site has no reviews, no testimonials, no press mentions and no partner logos. Anything that looked like social proof here would be invented, so there isn't any.
If you want to be told when that changes, you can find your bag and register interest, or write to us. Nothing on this site charges a card.
