- Which bag should I choose?
- Start with nights away: no nights means Day 18, one to three nights means Weekender 28, three to five nights carry-on-only means Carry 38, and five to seven nights means Split 42. Laptop size can override this, because Day 18 tops out at 14 inches and Weekender 28 at 15 inches.
- Can I buy a bag right now?
- No. Kanso Travel is a pre-launch concept brand. There is no order system, no stock and no shipping. Prices shown are illustrative and no payment is collected anywhere on this site.
- What does registering interest actually do?
- It sends the email address, bag and trip length you enter to Kanso Travel and stores them in our database, so we can tell you when the bag is available. It is not an order, not a deposit and not a queue position: no card details are collected, nothing is charged and no stock is held.
- Are the Kanso bags carry-on compliant?
- Carry 38 and Split 42 are designed around common carry-on limits, but airline rules vary and Split 42 sits at the upper end of typical allowances. Day 18 is sized to work as a personal item. We can't guarantee acceptance on any specific flight — measure your packed bag and check your airline.
- What size laptop fits?
- Day 18 fits up to 14 inches, Weekender 28 up to 15 inches, and both Carry 38 and Split 42 up to 16 inches. Every bag has an externally accessible sleeve so you don't unpack clothing at security.
- Is a 42-litre bag too big for everyday use?
- Yes. Split 42 and Carry 38 are trip bags; carrying either half-empty on a daily commute is awkward. If you want one bag for both, Weekender 28 is the compromise, and Day 18 is the right answer for commuting alone.
- Are your bags waterproof?
- We don't make waterproofing claims. We publish the shell fabrics and zipper brand, and nothing beyond that, because we haven't run water-resistance testing we could stand behind.
- How durable are they? Do you have test data?
- No. We have not completed abrasion, tensile or drop testing, so we don't publish durability numbers or lifetime claims. The warranty page describes what we intend to stand behind at launch.
- Do you have reviews or customer photos?
- No. There are no customers yet, so any review, rating or testimonial on this site would be fabricated. We'd rather have an empty section than a fake one.
- Will there be more sizes or colours?
- We have no roadmap to announce. The line is deliberately four bags, one per trip-length band. If that changes, the interest list is how you'd hear about it.
- What will shipping and returns look like?
- The intended policy is described on the shipping and returns page: a 30-day return window on unused bags, with the customer covering return postage. None of it is active yet because nothing has been sold.
- Do you track me?
- We record anonymous events — page path, event name, referrer and any UTM parameters — in your own browser's storage. There are no cookies, no fingerprinting and no third-party analytics. The only thing sent to us is what you type into a form.
